MDS lifters are the deactivating type used on HEMI engines with cylinder deactivation, and they are a known wear point: a collapsed lifter takes the cam lobe with it. This one is supplied with its yoke because the two are installed as a pair, and four are required per engine. Anyone replacing lifters should inspect the corresponding cam lobes at the same time.
