A Cummins starter pulls enormous current, and this cable is what carries it on the passenger side of a dual battery setup. Cables fail internally, corroding under the insulation where nothing is visible, and the symptom is slow cranking that looks exactly like a weak battery or a tired starter. Replacing either one does not fix it.
