Non-Shielded Crank Trigger Pickup, 3/8 in.-24 x 1.5 in. with 36 in. Harness
The pickup is the one part of a crank trigger system that lives closest to the heat and debris coming off the front of the engine, so it is the part most likely to need replacing. This is the non-shielded sensor used in flying magnet crank trigger kits, built with potted windings and a strain relief where the harness exits the threaded body.
MSD 8159 Non-Shielded Crank Trigger Pickup Features:
- 3/8 in.-24 threaded body, 1.5 in. long.
- 36 in. harness length.
- Teflon jacketed wiring with tinned conductors.
- Strain relief protects the wiring where it leaves the housing.
- Windings are vacuum potted for durability.
The Best Way to Trigger Your Ignition
Stable ignition timing is necessary for high-horsepower engines with extreme cylinder pressures. MSD uses a non-magnetic pickup triggered by powerful magnets embedded in the trigger wheel. The sensor brackets feature a long adjustment slot providing a range of accurate timing adjustments.
