MSD Ignition 121-8966 Features:
- Not only can you choose between supplying ground or 12 volts to activate a circuit, but you can do it through a variety of vehicle sensors. As long as the chosen sensor is 0-5 volts DC with a minimum signal difference of 0.5 volt, such as TPS, MAP, MAF, water temperature, oil or boost pressure, etc., the Smart Switch can be used, and it can be calibrated to ''learn'' the sensor.
The switch can also be programmed to activate at a certain percentage of the sensor's signal range. For example, activating a nitrous solenoid when the TPS sensor reaches 95% or turning on an electric fan when the coolant temperature sensor reaches a certain level. To assist Smart Switch setup, there are two LEDs--one to alert you of calibration mode, and the other to indicate operation mode.
