OER Replacement silver powder-coated steel fuel tank for 1991-96 Caprice/Impala and other GM models. The original plastic fuel tank is the weak link in the fuel system of the full size GM passenger car. Prone to cracking and leaking, the plastic tanks are now obsolete and almost impossible to find in the secondhand market. This kit includes the fuel filler neck, filler and vent hoses and fuel neck to body mount hardware. Unlike the original factory tank that was produced in a black plastic material, this fuel tank is produced with high grade steel for superior strength and longer lifespan, then powder-coated in silver, and has a capacity of 23 gallons.
