The original plastic fuel tank is the weak link in the fuel system of the 1991-96 full size GM passenger car. Prone to cracking and leaking, the plastic tanks are now obsolete and almost impossible to find on the second hand market. Unlike the original factory tank that was produced in a black plastic material, this fuel tank is produced with high grade steel for superior strength and longer lifespan, then powder-coated in silver.
