Putting coil-overs on the rear of a B-body means the shock now carries the weight of the car, and the factory mount was never built for that load. These brackets create a proper coil-over mounting point at both ends of the shock, so an Impala SS or any other B-body sedan can be converted without fabricating mounts from scratch.
