Independent rear suspensions (IRS) are superior in almost every way over a straight rear axle. This bolt-on Ridetech 12127099 IRS Conversion is an easy bolt-on system for the 1979-1993 Fox Body Mustang. It provides maximum performance, high strength, and OEM reliability utilizing SN95/S550 Mustang driveline & brake components for an unstoppable combination.

• Uses S550 Mustang differential such as M-400188355B or equivalent (sold separately), used takeout units are also available
• Requires Ridetech 4 in. shorter than stock axles 12129599 (sold separately) withstanding up to 500 flywheel horsepower
• Ridetech 12129510 Caliper Brackets (sold separately) allows direct bolt-on of both stock or aftermarket brakes from a 1999-2004 SN95 Mustang Cobra
• Ridetech 12129511 Caliper Brackets (sold separately) allows direct bolt-on of both stock or aftermarket brakes from an S550 Mustang
• Compatible with 1999-2004 Mustang Cobra cat-back exhaust systems
• Requires driveshaft to be shortened
