- An excellent kit for people who like to maintain their own performance or racing transmissions. Contains the ''stuff'' usually required when freshening-up an existing perfomance or competition transmission. Does not have valve body modifications or little used items. The kit does contain housing and cover gaskets, filter, O-rings, check balls, gear shaft locknuts, lock washers, sealing washers and metal clad seals, 4-sets Alto Red Eagle Hi-Cohesive Friction Clutches and 4-sets Kolene-treated Steels.

The factory Honda Civic automatic transmission clutch plates are, by design, relatively small, which is a limiting factor in torque capability. In order to increase the torque capacity of these plates, TCI has partnered with Alto and the result is the all new Red Eagle clutches that withstand higher temperatures than any other clutch available. Red Eagle clutches are designed with softer, more resilient base paper which imparts less wear against the opposing steel plates. They are then saturated in a phenolic resin and undergo a second saturation in a silicate, which imparts high heat resistance to the friction paper. Couple these terrific clutchs with Kolene-treated steels and you've got a winning combination. The salt bath nitriding process on these steels provides a surface treatment that enhances wear and fatigue resistance up to 500%. In short, this Red Eagle clutch/Kolene steel combination will shorten clutch lock-up time, reduce heat due to slip, increase fatigue resistance, bolstering your transmission against the increased torque of your modified Honda power plant.Features
