This split ring collar is used to help you adjust for proper end play in a two-piece direct drive after the transmission has been installed on the engine. Install the drive hub without having the spiral lock in place, secure the collar around the hub and lock it into place with Allen bolts.
These TCI Front Pump Drives allow you to run without a torque converter and reduces rotating mass by 15-30 lbs, therefore improving off-the-corner acceleration and engine braking which lowers transmission temperatures. Requires a specially-designed valve body, is adjustable for non-motor plates and 1/8" & 1/4" motor plates. Perfect for circle track applications with automatic transmissions. Provides trouble-free, direct transfer of engine power/torque to transmission.
