Although Tick Performance suggest measuring for piston-to-valve clearance during ANY camshaft install, every Elite Series Camshaft is designed to fit in a stock engine & stock heads with adequate clearance unless otherwise noted.   Turbocharger Size Recommendation: Single 60mm-72mm turbochargers and twin 52mm-56mm turbochargers. Heavier vehicles (4,000LBS+) using single 72mm-76mm turbochargers or twin 58mm-62mm turbochargers should highly consider this camshaft for added low-end torque. 4.8L engines with larger single 72-76mm turbochargers and twin 58mm-62mm turbochargers should highly consider this camshaft due to their smaller displacement and shorter stroke.

  Our Tick Performance Turbo Stage 1 Camshaft for 4.8 & 5.3 liter Engines is designed for those who want to gain a noticeable amount of power while retaining great street manners and a smooth idle. Perfect for single 60mm-72mm turbochargers and twin 52mm-56mm turbochargers! Those with 4.8L engines in lighter vehicles utilizing single 72mm-76mm turbochargers or twin 58mm-62mm turbochargers should highly consider this camshaft due to their smaller displacement and shorter stroke. Those with 5.3 liter engines in heavier vehicles (4000LBS+) utilizing single 72mm-76mm turbochargers or twin 58mm-62mm turbochargers should also highly consider this camshaft for added low end torque. This camshaft will not work in vehicles equipped with VVT or DOD. If your vehicle still has these systems, they will need to be deleted at the time of the camshaft install (parts sold separately.) Tick Performance strongly suggest the use of Tick Performance Tick/PAC Dual Valvesprings and hardened pushrods with this camshaft (sold separately.) Hundreds of hours were spent developing this camshaft to perform precisely the way Tick Performance advertise, so as a result, changes to the LSA or any other specification of this camshaft are not available.
