The oxygen sensor installs in the upstream position on 1993-1994 Volkswagen Passat with the 2.8L V6 engine. It signals whether the exhaust is running rich or lean so the engine computer can trim fuel delivery. It uses a male/female oblong connector with 4 terminals.
