The oxygen sensor installs in the upstream position on 1995 Ferrari 456 GT, 1995-1996 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta, 1995-1997 Ferrari F355 GTS and 1996-1997 Ferrari F355 Spider. It signals whether the exhaust is running rich or lean so the engine computer can trim fuel delivery. A built-in heater brings the element to operating temperature quickly after a cold start.
