The air/fuel ratio sensor installs in the upstream position on 1999-2003 Jaguar Vanden Plas, XJ8, XJR, 1999-2002 Jaguar XK8 and 2000-2002 Jaguar XKR with the 4.0L V8 engine. It reports the exhaust air-fuel ratio so the engine computer can meter fuel precisely. A built-in heater brings the element to operating temperature quickly after a cold start.
