Volkswagen
3015-42140 Features:
An exhaust for the hottest of VW’s hatchbacks - unmatched quality, fitment, performance and tone. For those who like it raw, rowdy, and light, the AWE Track Edition is for you. The Track Edition takes all of the precision engineering and performance of its SwitchPath counterpart, minus the valve on the passenger’s side and the muffler on the driver’s side. The result is a constant “valve open” mode. This version is known to get (really) rowdy, and may be too much for many. For that reason, this particular version cannot be returned due to sound preference. But fear not – if after running the Track Edition you're feeling it’s a bit too much, AWE makes it easy to swap over to a Touring Edition with the Conversion Kit. Just bolt it on and tone it down a bit – easy! Valve Simulators (sold separately): Why do you need them? When it comes to the Track Edition versions of these systems, these valves are eliminated, the ECU stores what is known as a ‘soft code’ in the system. While this code is not harmful, who wants it? Enter the AWE Electronic Valve Simulators. These simple devices plug right into the factory harness in place of the exhaust valves, and prevent any code from ever being stored in the ECU due to the removal of the exhaust valves. Plug them in. Start it up. Drive away. That simple. Comes as a set of two. When it comes to tips, the Track Edition finishes off with 102mm slash-cut tips, featuring the AWE logo, so they know what team you're on. All tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste. They're also double walled to ensure a mirror finish - even under hard usage.Specifications:
