This is a general purpose type aluminum TIG welding rod. It is one of the oldest and most widely used welding and brazing alloys around. ER4043 contains silicon additives, which result in improved fluidity of the weld pool and also produce a weld that is much less sensitive to cracking. It has a bright weld finish that makes it a very popular choice for professional welders. ER4043 can be used to weld various grades of aluminum. 1170-1605° F melting range.

ER5356

This is a general purpose type aluminum alloy which is typically chosen for it's relatively high shear strength. In addition, it also offers excellent corrosion resistance when exposed to salt water. ER5356 should be considered for welding 5000 series aluminum base metals. 1060-1175° F melting range.
