Exhaust header wrap and spark plug wire boot guards are recommended when installing headers. Remember to check your state’s laws regarding emissions and exhaust modifications for street-driven vehicles; in some cases, headers are only permissible for non-emission controlled vehicles or vehicles used solely for the purpose of closed competition racing.
