Shorty Headers1990-95 F-Series Truck/E-Series Van 5.0L Stainless Steel 1.625" Tubes
- 409 Stainless exhaust material is titanium stabilized ferritic stainless steel. 409 stainless is used in applications where appearance is a secondary consideration to properties and corrosion resistance and where some weldability is required. An example of stainless usage is catalytic converter assemblies. 409 stainless has excellent forming characteristics and is rust-through resistant. A surface rust will form in most instances. This rust retards further corrosion.

Ford Shorty Headers
Ford Racing Headers are designed by Ford Racing Engineers to give you a performance advantage over stock while still retaining a factory fit and reliability. Built from 1.625" 409 Stainless Steel tubes to allow your engine to breathe but built to resist leaking gaskets and rust holes common on standard steel headers. The machined flanges are designed to increase clamping force on the exhaust gasket to reduce exhaust leaks. Ford Racing also includes the necessary bolts studs and gaskets to make your installation easier to deal with.
