• 1978-1983 G-Body vehicles will require a frame extension for this crossmember to work properly (SEE ITEMS YOU NEED FOR THE FRAME EXTENSION). Some 1983 Hurst Oldsmobiles were originally equipped with a 200-4R transmission and will not require a frame extension. Some 1984 G-body vehicles came with the early (pre-1984) frame and will require a frame extension (SEE ITEMS YOU NEED FOR THE FRAME EXTENSION). If you are unsure, 1984 and later models will feature two mounting locations for the transmission crossmember; the second set of holes is approximately 14 in. behind the front set of mounting holes.
• This Crossmember is designed for 1978-1988 G-Bodies that were originally equipped with a small-block Chevy engine.
• Does not fit Cutlass Supreme, Chevrolet El Camino, or some Buick Regal Models
• Engine and transmission swaps may require some additional modifications & fitment of components. Hardware is not included.
