Sanderson Headers CC178-SEC Features:

The CC178 is a large tube header for 1927 and up automobiles and trucks using small block Chevy engines. It fits aftermarket Mustang II, Vega, and rack-and-pinion front suspension kits, including Heidts, TCI, and Chassisworks chassis. The CC178 header features a large 1-7/8 in.

Primary Tube Diameter and a 3 in. collector for extreme horsepower, high RPM, supercharged, and other high-performance engines that require a larger primary tube to exit the exhaust gases. The header clears most motor mount styles, tie rods, and steering rods. It is the most compact 1-7/8 in. header offered today. The header comes with all necessary hardware for installation.

NOTE: The CC178 uses a rectangular-shaped port to fit most performance cylinder heads without adapter plates, with dimensions of roughly 1-3/8 in. width by 1-3/4 in. height (see images). Ensure the cylinder heads have adequate material around the exhaust ports for proper sealing. Includes all hardware necessary for installation.

Installation Notes:

The Patented Leak-Free Design on Sanderson Headers provides the only leak-free flange design on the market … Do Not Attempt To Use Flange Gaskets! The raised flange on tube-style Sanderson Headers will buckle the gasket during tightening and cause a leak! Sanderson Headers are NOT emissions legal on pollution-controlled motor vehicles. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to verify local regulations for compliance. Wrapping Sanderson Headers with ANY thermal tape voids the header warranty.
