The History of JEGS: A Legacy of Family, Business, and Racing
JEGS was founded in 1960 by Jeg Coughlin Sr. as a small speed shop near downtown Columbus, Ohio. What started as a passion project for racing and auto parts quickly became a trusted name in the industry. Jeg Sr.’s unmatched expertise, mechanical skill, and love for motorsports laid the foundation for what would grow into a global leader in performance automotive parts.

2025 Event Highlights
King of the Hammers
January 23 – February 8, 2025
Hammertown, Johnson Valley, CA
The 2025 OPTIMA Batteries King of the Hammers presented by Ford Performance, once again proved why it is one of the most challenging and prestigious off-road races in the world. Known for its brutal mix of high-speed desert racing and technical rock crawling, this event pushes drivers and machines to their absolute limits.
JEGS was proud to partner with Bailey Cole Racing and his American- and Australian-based team for the second year in a row.
Bailey Cole’s 2025 King of the Hammers Results:
- Open UTV – 3rd Place Finish
- Every Man Challenge (4600 Stock Class Ford Bronco) – 2nd Place Finish
- Race of Kings (4400 Unlimited Class) – DNF due to transmission issues

Charlotte Auto Fair
April 3-5, 2025
Charlotte Motor Speedway, Concord, NC
For the first time, JEGS will be attending the Charlotte Auto Fair, produced and presented by the Hornets Nest Region, AACA. This 3-day event is the largest Collector Vehicle Event in the Southeast of the United States and will offer more than 10,000 vendor spaces and host over 40,000 attendees. JEGS will be the sponsor of the Vendor Midway and the Car Show Prizes.
LS Fest Series
If you love LS-powered performance, Holley's LS Fest Series is where it's at. What began over a decade ago in Holley’s hometown of Bowling Green, Kentucky, has now expanded to Las Vegas, Nevada, and Fort Worth, Texas, making their series a must-attend event for LS fans coast to coast. Each event includes challenges like drag racing, drifting, autocross, burnout contests, off-road challenges, and a car show displaying LS-powered vehicles ranging from vintage restomods to modern performance cars.

Goodguys Columbus

Known as "The Big One", Goodguys Columbus is one of the largest and most highly anticipated events on the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association schedule. It brings thousands of hot rods, muscle cars, and classics to JEGS’ hometown.
With a record-breaking turnout in recent years, Goodguys Columbus continues to be a can’t-miss event for fans of classic cars and hot rods.

Holley's 6th annual MoParty brings together Mopar fans to celebrate all things Chrysler, Plymouth, and Dodge. This event is open to any vehicle powered by a Mopar engine, including AMC models, MoParty delivers a full experience for participants and spectators.
FordFest

Holley's Ford Festival honors everything Ford, from vintage muscle cars to modern Mustangs, Broncos, and F-150 trucks. Following years of collaboration with the NMRA World Finals, Holley will fully host the festival in 2025, introducing even more attractions and displays.
NHRA Stampede of Speed & JEGS Allstars
October 3–12, 2025
Texas Motorplex, Ennis, TX
The NHRA Stampede of Speed during the Texas NHRA FallNationals is a noteworthy event in the National Hot Rod Association’s schedule. It’s during this event that the highly anticipated JEGS Allstars takes place, which is where the top racers from ten categories in each of NHRA’s seven geographic regions go head-to-head, battling for both team and individual honors, along with a share of over a $100,000 purse.
