Lifter Bore Grooving Tools
The COMP lifter bore grooving tool cuts a groove into the lifter bore which ensures pressurized oil is fed between the lifter and camshaft. Developed by NASCAR engine builders, this tool reduces camshaft and lifter wear. For .842" bores.
Developed by one of NASCAR's top engine builders, this innovative new tool precisely grooves the lifter bore to ensure that pressure fed oil is directly injected into the contact area between lifter and camshaft. This increased oiling significantly reduces wear on the camshaft and lifters and minimizes the risk of premature failure during break-in. This machining operation to the block is quick, easy, inexpensive, and the best insurance for a new camshaft.
