There are always clearance challenges when doing an engine swap. One of these is routing the transmission cooler lines off the side of the transmission while cleaning the trans tunnel. Earl's makes this easier with their line adapters. Integrating into the GM transmission and adapting to AN lines allows additional clearance and freedom that the original hard lines cannot. Adapters are available for the popular GM Transmissions 4L80E (Fits Transmissions w/ 1/4-18 Threads Long/Rear). Order Two adapters (one short for the front and one long for the rear to match the threads on your transmission). The thread size varies depending on the application.
GM 4L80 transmissions came from the factory with one short (front) and one long (rear) cooler adapter (the longer rear fitting is required on the 4L80E for proper cooling and lubrication of the transmission). Check the thread size on your transmission before ordering. Sold individually - order one short (front) and one long (rear) adapter.
- Some 1997 & later transmissions use 1/4''-18 NPSM threads
- Some 2009 & later transmissions use 9/16''-18 NPSM threads
- Designed to replace OEM adapters in GM applications
- NPSM Threads (National Pipe Straight Male Thread)
- Nickel Plated Steel Construction
- High Pressure Capabilities
Quality Adapter Fittings for Custom Lines & Hoses
Earl's Transmission Fluid Adapter Fittings are designed to connect AN-style braided stainless steel cooler hose to your transmission case the easy way. These precision-machined adapters are made from high-quality materials, increase flow capacity, and allow for extra routing clearance in an engine swap. The straight threads (NPSM) eliminate the risk of cracking your transmission case as compared to using NPT (tapered thread) fittings.
