Specifications:
Gibson GM Cat-Back Exhaust Systems improve exhaust flow and provide more power from 2000-4000 RPM than other exhaust systems. Power-robbing turbulence exists at every point that an exhaust gas "pulse" enters or exits exhaust components. Gibson Systems minimize turbulence in two ways: patented Superflow technology assists exhaust gas in its flow out, and slip-fit connections reduce backpressure at the exhaust's joining points (i.e. each pipe fits into the larger opening of the next pipe). The quietest system Gibson offers, these single swept-side exhausts are stainless steel and produce a deep, throaty tone outside with only a slight increase over stock sound inside. Gibson Exhaust Systems feature mandrel-bent tubing for consistent flow throughout the system with the least restriction possible. Superflow Mufflers have a chambered/baffled structure to deliver dramatically higher exhaust flow compared to packed or screened mufflers. Too large a pipe without the proper muffler decreases low-end torque but increases top-end power. Gibson builds their exhaust systems to flow as efficiently as possible. Typical gains average 15-20 horsepower. Swept-side systems are engineered and tested to improve acceleration, towing, passing, and hill climbing. Fuel economy may also improve as the engine becomes more efficient.
Motor Vehicles
WARNING: Motor vehicles contain fuel, oils and fluids, battery posts, terminals and related accessories which contain lead and lead compounds and other chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harm. WARNING: Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are: lead from lead-based paints, crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products, and arsenic and chromium from chemically treated lumber. Your risk from exposure to these chemicals varies, depending on how often you do this type of work. To reduce your exposure, work in a well-ventilated area and with approved safety equipment, such as dust masks that are specially designed to filter out microscopic particles.
