Global West Complete Lower Control Arm 1968-70 Ford Falcon

Modified Factory Lower Control Arms
Specifications:
Negative Roll Tubular Control Arms
Global West Negative Roll Systems are designed to change the factory suspension geometry so that negative camber will be induced as the tire goes up into the fender. This will allow your old pony-car to surpass modern-day car handling. The Negative Roll Upper Control Arms come complete with ball joints, billet upper shafts, Del-A-Lum bushings, hardware, and template for relocation. The arms are pre-assembled with shafts and bushings. Installation of upper control arms requires drilling new mounting holes. The combination of lowering the upper control arm pivot plus installing the tubular upper arm will change your camber curve. Tubular Lower Arms Modified Lower Arms Adjustable Strut Rods
Note: These arms are not stock length. The ball joint angles have been corrected with the new mounting location. Do not use a stock arm in the new mounting location. Progressive rate springs are not recommended with use of the Negative Roll System.
Global West's lower arms not only enhances the appearance of the suspension, but they also add strength. The lower arm incorporates a spherical bearing instead of a bushing just like our modified arms, however, the ball joint is serviced separately. The lower control arms are stock length and are not adjustable. Stock strut rods can be used with all of Global West's lower control arms or you can upgrade to the adjustable strut rods
Modified lower arms are re-enforced with plates boxing in the control arm. The arms have a spherical bearing installed rather than a rubber of polyurethane bushing. The bearing allows the arm to pivot reducing the load on the frame. The bearing also makes alignment more precise. The ball joint is serviced only as a complete arm. Legal for most racing classes.
Strut rods locate the lower control arm fore and aft in the fender well. Standard bushings deflect during acceleration and braking allowing the tire to move fore and aft in the fender well. The movement slightly changes the wheelbase, front-end alignment, and directly affects the car stability. Installing Global West's Adjustable Strut Rods eliminates this problem by using spherical rod ends in place of the rubber bushing. No welding or frame modifications are required.
Strut Rods Feature:
Performance Strut Rod Bushings
If adjustable strut rods are not in you budget, high-density rubber strut rod bushings would be your best alternative. The rubber bushings are stiffer than the factory type and have just enough forgiveness to allow the suspension to move without overstressing the strut rod. These bushings are recommended if the car is used as a daily driver and is not raced.
