JEGS 555-47004 Convertible Top Warranty Information:
- If the top has been partially installed (stapled, cut, or glued), no credit will be given
- Damage caused by frame issues will void any warranty
- Open immediately upon delivery, examine for correct items or damage
- All mechanical items are subject to wear and tear
- Convertible top frames are no exception, to the untrained eye top frames may operate well
- The older the car, the more likely the fame will need adjustment or repair
- All top frames must rise and lower equally in a straight line, not cockeyed or off-center
- While operating, any slack in the top frame is likely to be from worn bushings
- Worn bushings can cause alignment issues. Top frames must be able to lay flat in the well area as designed. Misaligned frames will cause improper fit, material damage, or failure. See Examples
JEGS 555-47004 Convertible Top Exclusions from Warranty:
- DAMAGE CAUSED BY FRAME ISSUES VOIDS ANY WARRANTY
- Installation - Improperly installed items or any item not installed as originally designed & installed can fail prematurely. The use of worn or improperly constructed pads may cause premature failure of the convertible top. Any change or alteration beyond the original design, other than normal installation procedure, will void the warranty.
- Weaving Flaws - All woven materials are subject to minor weaving imperfections. Our factory cut all cloth tops across the roll or into the roll according to automotive manufacturing specifications. Our factory carefully screens all cloth to be cut, but cannot be held responsible for shading variations created by the angles of the joined pieces or minor weaving imperfections which are characteristic of any woven material.
- Shrinkage - All materials are subject to normal shrinkage over time due to surrounding conditions as well as the aging process. Abnormal or continual exposure to extreme light, heat, and high humidity will result in higher degrees of shrinkage.
- Fading - All materials & thread are subject to normal fading due to environmental conditions. Use of chemical cleaners, solvents, etc., as well as prolonged exposure to extreme light, heat, and high humidity will result in higher degrees of fading.
- Normal Wear - Only high-quality materials are used in production. All materials are subject to normal wear and tear, especially at the high-stress fold or flex points, and are not covered under this warranty.
- Non-OE Materials - Due to material construction & frame design, some materials may not be suitable for every application.
- Factory OE Parts - In certain instances, our factory must use OE parts supplied by various auto manufacturers. In the event of warranty claims for parts supplied by these manufacturers, the terms of the warranty extended by the part supplier for the part in question will take precedent and be the deciding factor.

WARNING: Motor vehicles contain fuel, oils and fluids, battery posts, terminals and related accessories which contain lead and lead compounds and other chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harm. These chemicals are found in vehicles, vehicle parts and accessories, both new and as replacements. WARNING: Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are: lead from lead-based paints, crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products, and arsenic and chromium from chemically treated lumber. Your risk from exposure to these chemicals varies, depending on how often you do this type of work. To reduce your exposure, work in a well-ventilated area and with approved safety equipment, such as dust masks that are specially designed to filter out microscopic particles.
