    Mishimoto Aluminum Lug Nuts shave weight and add a touch of flair to your vehicles exterior. Each of these lug nuts are milled from a single piece of 7075-T6 aircraft-quality aluminum then anodized in a variety of colors to match any style. Weighing just 22.68 g each and with an overall length of 50 mm, these lug nuts provide a lightweight and durable alternative to factory lug nuts. An open-ended design ensures that there will be proper thread engagement and compatibly with a variety of wheel studs from different automotive manufactures. All Mishimoto lug nuts are sold in kits which include; 16 standard lug nuts, 4 locking lug nuts and 1 key.

    The anodized finish on these lug nuts is highly susceptible to fading when cleaned with abrasive or corrosive cleaners. Additionally, the anodized finish can be scratched from the use of power tools such as pneumatic impact guns/wrenches. Mishimoto recommends only hand tools for the instillation and removal of these lug nuts. Mishimoto Automotive will not warranty lug nuts for fading or scratched finish damage occurring from use of corrosive cleaners or power tools.

    Most factory wheel studs and lug nuts are made from a steel alloy. Using aluminum lug nuts in combination with steel wheel studs can cause galvanic corrosion. Galvanic corrosion is an electrochemical reaction in which one metal corrodes at an accelerated rate when in direct contact with a dissimilar metal. If left unattended for long durations of time, galvanic corrosion can cause separate pieces of dissimilar metals to seize together making them difficult to separate.

    Always be sure to torque lug nuts to their recommended torque spec. Mishimoto recommends that all of their aluminum lug nuts be torqued between 70–80 ft/lbs. Do not over-tighten! Over-tightening can cause galling of the threads. Galling is a form of wear caused by the adhesion of sliding surfaces. If lug nuts are over-tightened galling can occur and may result in stripped threads or threads becoming friction welded (seized) together making them difficult to separate.
