    Pro-X Input Shafts

    Any successful racer knows, ''To finish first, you must first finish.'' That's the idea behind the TCI Pro-X Drag Race GM Powerglide Input Shafts. These two input shafts, one for the standard Powerglide pump or TCI Gerotor pump 890-743500 and one for the TCI ringless Gerotor pump 890-743510 transmissions, incorporate a unique proprietary construction material and a special heat-treated process to prevent input shaft breakage. The direct replacement Pro-X standard configuration input shaft 890-749602 can handle up to 2000 hp applications.

    The Pro-X Ringless design input shaft 890-749603 contains a special bushing to replace load-limiting internal rings, that enlarges the shaft diameter for increased strength. The shaft's full cooler circuit flow has been reengineered to improve the torque converter function, making it more efficient, with better lubrication, resulting in improved strength and durability over other types of ringless input shafts. TCI's Ringless input shaft can handle up to 2500+ hp applications, and requires installation of a TCI Gerotor pump 890-743510 for proper operation.

    Vaccu Melt 300 & Vasco 300

    TCI offers input shafts made form aircraft quality Vaccu Melt 300 steel billet and Vasco 300 material. Engines producing over 800 horsepower need the Vasco 300 for maximum reliability.

    The Turbo-spline shaft allows installation of a 30 spline Turbo-350/500 converter in your Powerglide. These shafts require some minor machining of the stator support to accommodate the included turbo support bushing. We also offer input shafts that will allow the use of a 17-spline Powerglide converter with a Turbo-350/400 transmission.
