Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall good product Overall this is a good product. I am happy with it. We used this to replace the original power steering on a 1966 mustang. The turning feels more controlled, less slop. There were a couple problems that we encountered. Some of the bolts and nuts would not fit properly. Had to buy the correct length bolts. Also, after hooking up the high pressure line, the entire hose blew apart at the fitting. Unisteer, admitted that they had received a batch of bad hoses. Jegs, stepped up, contacted Unisteer, and was able to get me a new hose within a few days. Even with the few bumps I would recommend this product. Be sure to get all of the air out of the lines (preferably put the front on jack stands), and rotate from lock to lock to remove the air before driving. Otherwise, you may get some whining from the power steering pump.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product Three power steering pumps have failed and two hoses since I purchased this unit less than 1500 miles ago. The unit overheats. Three different mechanics have worked on it to no avail. Unisteer has sent out replacement parts with minimal hassle but the labor cost is killing me. Two mechs have told me whole unit needs replaced to which unisteer will not honor their lifetime warranty. I am currently researching how to yank power and convert r&p to manual.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a bolt on Says minor grinding, nothing minor about it... if have reproduction front end(frame) forget it. Manufacturer said it was made for stock cars. My old hardware bolts in just fine w/new front end. Depending on your lower control arm set up, the rack has to come out to put the control arms in. So with adjusting the lower control arms on my front end is out of the question with how much material I'd have to remove. With my application, everything is tight fitted as it is. Sending it back for different design how it bolts to the frame. But other than it not fitting, looks nice...
