Walker Products Idle Air Control (IAC) Motors are precision manufactured from premium components in an ISO 9001-2008/TS16949 certified facility. The idle air control motor is a stepper motor that is controlled by the onboard computer. The computer uses inputs from many other sensors to precisely control the idle speed of the engine by moving the IAC to control a pintle in and out of an opening that bypasses the throttle blade. This allows the idle speed to increase or decrease by regulating the flow of air into the engine.
