A/C Compressor
On a hot day, it's a much more enjoyable driving experience with a well-running air conditioning system than to have to drive with the windows down. One important part of the HVAC system is the A/C compressor. This belt-driven component circulates and pressurizes the freon refrigerant so that when it reaches the inside of your vehicle, cool air is given off. When the A/C is off, the A C compressor clutch is disengaged, allowing the A C compressor pulley to free-spin while the engine is running. When the air conditioning is turned on, the A/C compressor clutch is engaged, turning the pump motor, and circulating refrigerant.
When choosing an A/C Compressor, it's important to confirm it fits the year, make, model, and engine of your vehicle. If adding air conditioning or building a custom HVAC setup, choose a compressor that is the correct size for your vehicle and that has the correct adapters and brackets to mount to your engine.
JEGS offers a wide array of AC compressors from well-known manufacturers such as Tuff Stuff, Vintage Air, Delphi, Denso, JEGS, and others. Each compressor is made from top-quality components and assembly to ensure long service life and a cool, comfortable driving experience.
