Advance Adapters 712514-T98 Features:
- This adapter plate assembly is used to adapt a Ford Engine to the Jeep T-98 4 speed manual transmission. The adapter plate is .500”” in length and is manufactured from 356-T6 heat treated aluminum alloy. Included in the adapter plate kit you will receive an adapter plate, new input shaft with 17 tooth on the cluster side, 4.848” bearing retainer, pilot bushing, fastening hardware, and adapter instructions.
- Note: The input shaft included only fits cluster gears with 17 teeth.
- Note: This adapter plate design kit requires a Ford bell housing.
- Transmission
- The T-98 has a very similar appearance to the T-18 except a casting number of T98. It is heavy duty like the T-18, but a bit more prone to wear since bearings and lubrication are not as good. Internals from a T-18 can be put in a T-98 case. The T-98 has a 1 1/16 in. 10 spline input shaft and 1 3/8 in. 6 spline output.
