This head is sold as an unported, unassembled bare casting. It is finished machined and includes valve guides and valve seats installed. This head does NOT include studs, valves, springs retainers or locks.

Symmetrical Port Competition Cylinder Head The Brodix BD Series is the latest in cylinder head technology. This symmetrical port design virtually eliminates head gasket problems that have plagued the small block Chevy for decades. The BD heads are available as un-ported or fully CNC ported in a couple of port volumes. Special components needed for proper installation include: injector or intake manifold, headers, shaft rocker system, sheet metal valve covers, head stud kit, and camshaft core. The ported WP BD head is offered in a couple of intake port sizes - 285cc, 299cc and 311cc. The industry standard has been taken to the next level with modernized CNC porting. Every casting is poured from A-356 virgin aluminum and tested before Brodix utilizes their in-house processes such as finish machining and heat treating to assure that you receive the best products for your hard-earned money. Other features include a thick deck surface, drilled and tapped holes on the ends for standard drive accessories, phosphorous bronze valve guides and interlocking valve seats installed.
