Auto/ man: valve body??? I was told you can manually shift it as well, when I called. But he said it will shift it self at 5500 as a gov override.

    Asked by: Outlaw32
Yes, this has the street strip valve body so you can manually shift it or it will shift itself.

So by the street/strip valve body does that mean that it is an automatic/manual valve body?

    Asked by: 94gmcdragtruck
No, this is still an automatic valve body, but designed for harder shifts and more HP than a stock engine.

looking at placing this into a 57 Belair sedan. is the depth of the pan an issue on a car with standard ride height. how much lower than an original 2 spd pwr glide. running 300 hp 350. Or do you recommend different tranny?

    Asked by: Trucks57
This will depend on the crossmember you are using. This pan is 2-3" deeper than your original pan would be.
