Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the shipping price I purchased a HO 454 GM engine, along with a 2500 Stall Hughes torque converter, that I put with this transmission in a 1968 Chevelle SS last summer. Only put 2,300 miles on the transmission over the last year. Started to have a shudder on take off, that gradually became worse, and after transmission had heated up, would have serious slippage. I took the vehicle to a transmission shop, and they indicated that the front clutch in the transmission was smoked, and that they hadn't seen such a poor assembled transmission with cheap parts. I wasn't aware that TCI only had a 90 day warranty, nor was I aware that I had to use a TCI torgue converter to have any warranty coverage. Cost almost $2,000 dollars to have the transmission rebuilt which is what I should have done with the original. I wouldn't never buy a TCI product after this situation.
