    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally what I've been looking for after 25 years! I have a Cobra replica I finished building 25 years ago and the original side pipe mufflers were fine I thought until a piece broke loose internally and then that pipe rattled so I started looking around for replacements. I tried Lobak mufflers, which gave a performance improvement but only slightly quieter than open headers. Then I tried glass packs which were only slightly quieter than the Lobaks. I had to make temporary inserts with fiberglass packing to pass inspection (less than 98 decibels).These have the perfect sound in my opinion without a performance penalty. They have a very healthy rumble at idle and sound great at full throttle also. They also are much cooler as Flowmaster says in their description. After a 20 minute drive yesterday (45 degrees and sunny), I measured the temperature of the pipes. At the collector just in front of the mufflers, the temp was 425 degrees, the mufflers were at 164 degrees, and the turnout after the muffler was 330 degrees!
