Gibson Cat-Back Exhaust Systems improve flow and produce more power from 2000-4000 RPM than competitor systems. Gibson Exhaust Systems minimize power-robbing turbulence in two ways: Superflow™ Mufflers (chambered/baffled for much higher flow compared to packed/screened mufflers) and slip-fit connections (pipes fit into each other to reduce backpressure at joining points).

All Gibson Systems use mandrel-bent pipe for consistent flow with the least restriction, and the split rear design adds about 15-20 horsepower and 5-8 decibels sound. Split Rear Systems fit with most bumpers, roll pans, and hitches but are not recommended for towing because carbon monoxide may enter the interior.
