Hays Diaphragm Pressure Plate Ford Truck (Hydraulic)
490-51-140

Specifications:
Diaphragm Pressure Plates Borg & Beck Pressure Plates Long Pressure Plates Street Discs
A superior upgrade from stock, these diaphragm clutches far exceed OE specifications in material, construction & performance. Light pedal pressure and quick release make them the most popular for today's street vehicles.
One of the earliest clutch designs but still among the most popular, Hays 3-Finger Borg & Beck Street Clutches utilize 12 heavy-duty coil springs to exert maximum pressure on the disc. Assembled without roller assist to minimize pedal pressure at high RPM. Recommended as a street performance replacement for AMC, GM, and Mopar applications equipped with a Borg & Beck-style clutch.
Long-style clutches are primarily used in Ford-powered vehicles. The Hays Long Street Clutch with its familiar triangular shape utilizes 9 heavy-duty coil springs behind the pressure ring to provide the ultimate grip and thrust for most street enthusiast applications. Designed as a direct replacement and performance upgrade for Ford and Mercury vehicles.
These performance clutch discs are engineered for high-horsepower street vehicles plus occasional drag strip use. Made using premium high-burst strength woven lining to withstand heat and higher engine RPM. Riveted to Marcel (a crimped plate between the friction materials that acts as a shock absorber) backing and heavy-duty sprung hub assembly to allow smooth engagement and steady torque transfer without chatter.
