Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great non-metal holder I have been looking for a non-metal battery holder for my RV. My old metal ones shifted and shorted out my battery. These are great they are adjustable and sturdy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I bought this product for my truck, and it fit perfectly. It only took minutes to put it on. Great product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for the price I used this on my '93 F150 Lightning as it had the wrong battery in it and the standard hold-down wouldn't work. A competitor sells a non-adjustable one for nearly 3x the price. Come on; its just plastic! I bought this one instead and for the price paid it is a decent product and performs as it should. It is adjustable to fit a variety of widths which is convenient but also probably its downfall. When tightened to securely keep the battery in place the bar will flex in a way that doesn't inspire confidence. The supplied wing nuts are stamped steel and not cast, resulting in sharp edges that can be painful. If you accept this product for what it is--an inexpensive solution to a common problem--then you will be satisfied. If you're looking for something sturdy to hold a battery in place for something like off-road racing I'd look for something made of metal. OK for a street car.

Describing "length" and "width" is ambiguous, depending on which way the battery is measured and the location of the battery tray holes. Tell me the adjustment RANGE (min and max) in inches please.

    Asked by: Howard M
    It will fit a battery 5 ½” to 8 ¾” wide

How do you adjust the 10264 universal battery hold down from the full out position? Is there a flange to press or twist

    Asked by: bcm1
This hold down has teeth on it that locks it in place, you can either lift one half higher than the other to release it or just flex it in the middle which typically allows you to expand it also
