How do you adjust the cable on a 700r4 TV?
- Proper adjustment is crucial. Refer to your vehicle's manual for specific guidelines, but generally, adjust the TV cable to achieve full throttle at wide-open throttle and no tension at closed throttle.
What is the purpose of the TV cable on a 700R4 transmission?
- The TV (Throttle Valve) cable controls line pressure and shift points in a 700R4 transmission, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. Proper adjustment is essential.
Is a kickdown cable necessary?
- Yes, a kickdown cable, often integrated into the TV cable, is essential for proper transmission function. It signals the transmission to downshift during acceleration for optimal performance.
