80160 - JEGS Soldering Tools is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Soldering Iron - Quality questionable As a retired engineer in the electronics field I have soldered many components. I seriously doubt the quality of this soldering iron. While it did indeed heat up to a soldering range, the units shaft ( the part holding the soldering tip, ) almost immediately broke loose from its base, tilting. After cooling I removed the 3 small screws to examine the internals to find that the iron's main shaft was ( apparently ) spot welded - or crimped , hard to distinguish since it was so poorly done - allowing the control of the iron to be nil. I would not recommend purchase of this soldering iron.
