Luverne Truck Equipment 255300 Features:
Your trailer takes plenty of wear and tear on the road without the scuffs, scratches and dents made by loose debris. The truth, however, is that this debris can quickly become a bombardment of damage that is otherwise easily preventable. The LUVERNE Textured Rubber Tow Guard is a simple trailer hitch attachment that provides a reliable barrier between your tow vehicle and trailer. The Tow Guard acts very much like a set of heavy-duty mud flaps. Only instead of merely covering your rear tires, it serves as a full-width wall at the rear of the vehicle, providing superior protection for the trailer. Also, unlike most mud flaps that are designed for permanent installation, the Tow Guard can conveniently be installed or removed as necessary, using a heavy-duty clamp system. This Tow Guard model attaches to virtually any 2" to 3" ball mount shank and maintains full use of your trailer hitch and any electrical components. The LUVERNE Tow Guard is constructed with a strong steel frame and heavy-duty recycled rubber flaps. The steel frame is covered in a highly durable textured black powder coat finish to protect it against scratches, chipping and rust, and the rubber flaps are made from a tough 3/8" thick textured rubber. Installing the Textured Rubber Tow Guard is as simple as bolting it onto a ball mount and mounting it on your receiver hitch. It attaches to the ball mount shank with a clamp mechanism and features cutouts in the steel frame for dual exhaust and for the trailer wiring connection. The Tow Guard is available in a universal width of 72" to fit most full-size pickups and SUVs and in two flap length options, including 15" and 20". When selecting the right length for your vehicle, we recommend a minimum gap of 4" when loaded and a maximum gap of 7" when unloaded. T he Tow Guard comes fully factory-assembled and can easily be trimmed for a fully custom fit.
