Rated 5 out of 5 by from Same MSD Quality As Always Excellent quality that I have come to expect from all MSD products. My old optispark gave up the ghost at 140,000 miles. This plus an MSD Blaster coil, Taylor wires and a Davis Unified Ignition module cured the problem and gives me a good basis for a performance rebuild.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Opti for 4th gen Purchased this opti for a 94 Z28, mechanic said that was the problem. Turned out to be a broken valve spring. Did not install the unit but kept it because the optisparks are known for failure. and they are getting hard to find!

If you click on the "Overview" tab you'll see their explanation as to what makes this model stand apart from the rest. It has a billet housing, advanced optical encoder that is more stable at high rpm, extra thick mounting surface, and the ability to adjust the timing +/- 6 degrees with the turn of a screw, among other heavy-duty features.
