Rated 1 out of 5 by from Installed... and the magic smoke came out Installed in my 1940 international rat rod, mounted to firewall and all wires were hidden, main power was ran from battery and the temperature sending unit was placed in passenger side of Chevy small block. Wired to a 12" cooling fan with 10 guage wire. There were no instructions in the kit, but did find basic instructions on jegs website. Vehicle came to temperature and fan kicked on as expected, .... then the fan never shut off. ... ever.. I pulled the fuse to the fan, and called jegs technical support, while on phone with them I replaced the fuse in its holder and.... the magical smoke was released from the semi waterproof case. I was advised to send the unit in for a refund, and to leave wiring as close to installed length as possible, causing me to have to unloom and untape the entire harness that I had just installed, only to reinstall using old school relay and temperature sending unit set up. Great concept, poor execution, shipping costs both ways. I would have been wiser to order it from Amazon and had free shipping and my money back sooner.
