Rated 5 out of 5 by from American Made, American Proud Sweet adjustability, minor surgery to install. Overall a great concept and it’s nice to have all those settings to dial in the ride as you wish. These shocks are over engineered, which is good if you want something to last. I wish I didn’t have to modify my car to make these fit, but it is what it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money Let me start by saying that I have never spent this much money on a pair of shocks before. But for my needs with the big tires that I put on the my car and trying to get them not to rub I needed an adjustable shock that I could tune the suspension in so it wouldn't rub the tire when you tried to plant the power to take off. Pretty much a direct fit, just had to drill the upper Mount holes in the car a little bigger to fit the bigger bolts that comes with the shocks. I was able to adjust each side to where it needed to be to get a decent ride but still not have the one tire rub. So on the passenger side I am two clicks firmer then the driver's side. Overall I would say they were worth the money thanks to the adjustability and the fact that it did solve my problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Product Delivers Amazing Results I bought these to re-replace the shocks on a 74 Nova Custom HB. I had purchased a basic 4 X set of KYBs that I was completely unhappy with and decided to give the QA1 shocks a try. These single knob 18 setting point adjustable shocks are amazing you can feel the difference each setting makes, From 18 that is basically a solid rod to 1 that offered better dampening than the inferior new KYBs. After repeated road testing I settled on 7 as the ideal setting for my application. Any of the settings over 10 were just too harsh for the Nova. The Nova has new 4-leaf leaf springs but original front springs and now with some sway bars I'm set for life. Worth every penny of the $600.00 plus to go F & R with these QA1. I did need to modify the lower control arm (as opposed to R&R them) by enlarging the opening to accept the wider shock body. Thus the 4 star for ease of install, but I understand that's life when going to a larger diameter shock tube.

Are these a direct bolt in for a 1970 Chevelle? Also are these good for some occasional drag racing? Right now I have air shocks and even with a limited slip rear end the car does not hook up too well. I'm wondering if these shocks would help? Thanks!

    Asked by: Chrisg7
These shock will work on the Chevelle a, should help improve traction when adjusted correctly.
