    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Need breaking in Ive run four sets of Richmond gears, all 4.10 ratio. What I can say is unless you break these gear sets in, they will howl. I recommend 1st run no more than 40 mph for 20 minutes. Complete cool down. 2nd run no more than 50 mph , no full throttle and no more than 20 mins. Complete cool down. Then no more than 50 mph for 200 miles. The two sets I treated like this had no more than a slight whine.
