Scat rotating assembly component parts are designed for the ultimate in performance. They take the ''guess work'' out of engine assemblies, just wash, Q.C. and assemble. The heart of this assembly is the Series 9000 CastPro Comp Stroker Lightweight design crankshaft. This crank is designed after Scat's custom billet crankshafts and made from their exclusive space-age 9000 material. This crankshaft is precision ground and micro polished to exact tolerances for immediate installation. Key features of the Series 9000 Cast Pro Comp Stroker Lightweight crankshaft are the aero wing counterweights, lightening holes in all rod journals, large radius on all journals, straight shot and chamfered oil holes make this crankshaft light and the top choice for the street/strip crowd!
This Assembly features Scat Pro Stock I-Beam 4340 forged connecting rods. They are a bushed pin design. The lightweight I-Beam design increases horsepower and allows quicker RPMs. They are shipped 100% ready to install with ARP 12-point 8740 cap screws and feature special doweled cap for specific cap-to-rod alignment.
The pistons are available in a couple of options and price points that will best fit the type of engine you are building. Hypereutectic, forged or premium forged piston are available. Hypereutectic are a good choice for normally aspirated engines. Forged pistons are the way you want to go if you are running any type of power adder like a blower, turbo, or nitrous. Pistons include piston rings and pins.
Rod and main bearings are included with each rotating assembly. The bearings are chosen by Scat from the most respected names in the business such as Clevite, King, and Federal Mogul, that best works with each premium crankshaft and rotating assembly.
Note: External balanced rotating assemblies include flexplate and harmonic damper.
Unbalanced rotating assemblies DO NOT include flexplate and harmonic damper.

Im thinking about putting this kit in my 95 GT. My main goals are drivability, this is my daily driver. I also want more HP and TQ. I would like to go with a blower/supercharger in the future. Is this a good choice? And what is the best cam for this kit?
