Adjustability is one the most important things when tuning in your street car's suspension. That is why UMI has taken the time to develop the Ultimate "on car" adjustable upper control arms for the rear on your GM vehicle. There were no short cuts when manufacturing these arms, only the best materials and components money can buy were used to build the UMI "Ultimate Arms". Well known weak areas where other manufactures use mild steel have been replaced with aircraft quality 4140 Chrome Moly steel featuring a TIG welded construction. The upper control arm mounting points feature CNC machined 0.250" mild steel, 4140 Chrome Moly tube adaptors and a high strength 4140 Chrome Moly heat treated 1.000" solid adjuster, truly over kill for any application!
This product is supplied with high quality QA1 spherical rod ends (Part # XMR12/XML12), alloy steel, heat treated, hard chrome plated featuring PTFE/Kevlar self lubricating race. PTFE lined rod end prevent metal to metal contact to eliminate unwanted noise allowing for a quiet operation not found with other brand rod ends. When purchasing rod ended components don't be fooled, use only the best-QA1, for a long lasting performance.
For ease of adjustment UMI has designed our Ultimate Arms with on-car adjustability. You can easily make pinion angle adjustments in the garage or at the track; it's as simple as loosening two jam nuts! Using UMI's unique Chrome Moly on-car adjuster, simply turn the adjuster with the control arms on the vehicle to quickly lengthen or shorten the control arm length. Pinion angle adjustments are a must when wanting to lower your track 60-foot times, increase traction and reduce unwanted wheel hop. The QA1 PTFE lined spherical rod end design allows for a bind free operation making a great upgrade for both your track and auto cross driven car.
