By installing a Speedmaster main stud kit, you can eliminate main cap walk and fretting, and protect cylinder block threads. Every Main Stud Kit is made from premium-grade, race-quality, 8740 high tensile strength chromoly steel that is rated at 190,000 psi. After heat treating, main stud kits are thread-rolled for exact tolerances that meet or exceed the most stringent aerospace specifications. Kits include 4130 parallel-ground washers and high-strength 12-point nuts that are heat treated for strength and long-term durability.
