Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted but a challenge to get there I bought this radio for BT because I did not want to go through all the wiring and mount changes with an aftermarket radio. Read the description because I did not and you have to take it to the GM dealer to unlock the radio, which can be challenging and isn't free. I was lucky to have a friend that worked there and he took care of it for me. I would not have purchased if I knew I had to take it to the dealer but it works great and it's easy to install. Also you need to have a CD in the radio to activate the BT....I don't own any, so I had to go buy one. Derek at 1 factory radio was super helpful and sent me the instructions to pair your phone. See below, great radio but you have a few things to do before it works. Directions: To operate Bluetooth streaming, insert a CD, any music CD is fine, play it and press the blue button so it is locked inward. This will activate the Bluetooth receiver and mute the audio from CD source. On your Bluetooth capable music device, find the Bluetooth settings and put it into discovery mode. If you cannot find a discovery mode, turn the Bluetooth function off and back on again and it will come up with a list of found devices. Select the newest one that’s appeared and if it asks for a password, input “0000”. This will pair your device. If you don’t see a new device, disconnect the vehicle’s battery for about 5 minutes and try pairing again shortly after reconnecting the battery. You can now play your music or Bluetooth capable music app through the vehicle’s speakers. To listen to a CD again, simply press the blue button on the radio so it is no longer depressed inward. You do not need to unpair your device but you may want to pause your music as it will continue streaming.
